24 Inch Round Diameter – Wilkinson Style – Trash Chute Discharge Door (HRD)- Gravity Rolling
This is a Wilkinson Style – Horizontal Gravity Rolling Discharge Door (HRD) or sometimes called a Guillotine discharge door, and is mainly an outlet shoot door for an internal garbage solution. The NFPA requires all internal chutes to have discharge doors that are held open by a fusible link, and this door fulfills that requirement. All discharge doors need to be kept open at all times because if they were closed, they would create a blockage and backup of materials that would cause damage to the door, and also create a fire and smoke hazard.
This is a Type “A” 24″ gravity rolling discharge door and is equipped with a UL labeled 165-degree fusible link designed to melt when the ambient temperature of a fire reaches 165 degrees as per NFPA code. Once the fusible link melts, the chute outlet door is released, and closes the opening of the chute, and prevents the fire from escaping up the shoot and up the home or building.
This 24 inch garbage chute outlet door comes by default in a round diameter.
COMPATIBLE: This gravity rolling chute discharge door is a Wilkinson style door and is compatible with other manufactured rubbish, recycle, or compost chute systems to be used with compactors and recycling systems. These doors are suitable for high rise buildings mainly, but sometimes it can be applied to a residential application if space allows it. They are also used in hotels, motels, hospitals, condominiums, nursing homes, and apartment buildings as well.
